I just needed a simple baby monitor allowing me to hear what is happening in my baby\'s bedroom. This one does the job perfectly and it\'s reasonable priced. Great sound quality (I guess they call it HD Sound) and very easy to use.

This is actually our third baby monitor from BT – we also have a BT 250 and a Smart Audio. To be frank, we were not impressed by our previous BT monitors, but I had the opportunity to test this one out and see what progress BT have made over the last year.\n\nThe first thing that hit me on opening the box is how much smaller this monitor is. Even the power adapters (you get 2 identical ones; one for the hand set and one for the monitor itself) are not much larger than a regular plug, though they are about twice as thick. The handset is so small you can slip it into a pocket quite easily (though you may accidentally push some buttons if you do) which helps make up for the fact it doesn’t have a belt clip or wrist loop.\n\nUnlike the similar BT 200 there isn’t a stand for the handset; the power cable simply jacks directly into the side, so you can’t easily set it charging one-handed. (A lack of socket could also be considered a good thing; our 250’s handset would easily tumble out of the socket onto the floor and after a couple of knocks parts of the LCD screen died, making the menus unreadable.)\n\nThe BT 300 is one of the simpler offerings from BT, with just a basic (but more than the bare minimum) range of features. You can, of course, listen to your child at different volume settings, but you can also talk to them via a walkie-talkie type talk button. There are some other utility functions; mute, battery alert, sound level LEDs, a button to help locate a misplaced handset, a night light and alerts when low on battery or out of range. \n\nRecommended.
